Eneco’s variable tariffs remain the same

As of 1 January 2024, Eneco customers who usually get new variable electricity and gas rates in January, will continue to pay the same rates as they did. However, the monthly energy costs for all our customers will increase due to an Energy Tax increase.

Customers with a variable contract who have been informed about their new tariffs in October, will continue to pay the same tariffs in January.  Their current rates are € 0.39381 per kWh of electricity and € 1.36192 per m3 of gas. As a result of the changes in Energy Tax, from 1 January 2024 the costs per kWh of electricity will drop slightly to € 0.37299. However, at € 1.47470 per m3 gas will become more expensive.

Price ceiling
From 1 January 2024, the price ceiling will no longer apply. This means that from that moment, customers will again be charged the full electricity and gas tariffs.

The variable tariffs for January 2024 will apply to about one third of customers with a variable contract.
