WoonEnergie stops, customers switch to Eneco

Eneco subsidiary Woonenergie will stop as an energy supplier effective 1 October 2025. WoonEnergie’s customers will switch to Eneco. All terms and conditions of their contracts will remain the same, including their energy tariffs.
 

WoonEnergie first started supplying gas and electricity to consumers in 2007, with its primary focus on customers renting from housing corporations. The energy supplier was a wholly owned subsidiary of Eneco. In the current market situation the brand no longer offers enough of a unique selling point to appeal to housing corporation tenants, so the decision has been made to stop with WoonEnergie.

Its customers – approximately 40,000 in number – will move to Eneco. All terms and conditions of their existing contracts will remain the same, including their energy tariffs. Its services were already provided in partnership with Eneco, and so will also continue as before. The months ahead will be used to inform all WoonEnergie’s customers about the switch to Eneco.
