Folkert Reitsma Chief Information Officer at Eneco

Folkert Reitsma (43) has been appointed as Eneco’s  Chief Information Officer (CIO) as of 1 November 2022, taking over the position from Mario Suykerbuyk who left Eneco earlier this year.

Frans van de Noort, Chief Operations Officer (COO): “On behalf of the Management Board I congratulate Folkert with his appointment. The Business Technology Organisation (BTO) is facing the considerable task of facilitating the major digitalisation steps that Eneco will be taking in the future. I wish Folkert and the BTO team every success with this interesting challenge.”

Folkert: “I am looking forward to continuing to contribute to Eneco and our One Planet Plan in the position of CIO. The team has every right to be proud of the accomplishments over the last few years. Major steps have been taken in terms of IT modernisation, centralisation and the use of platforms. I am looking forward to continuing to take further steps in the coming period together with all the BTO colleagues, our Chief Digital Officer and other colleagues in the business.”

Being responsible for the Business Technology Organisation, Folkert Reitsma and BTO together will be focusing on continuing the development of the IT organisation in order to enable Eneco’s further internationalisation and contribute to Eneco’s One Planet Plan. The aim is to transform Eneco into a platform and data driven company in collaboration with the new    Chief Digital Officer (CDO) Vincent Tuk. Another focus area will be the use of data to optimise customer experience.

Folkert Reitsma joined Eneco in 2018 as Operations & IT director for the trade department (Eneco Energy Trade). Prior to that, Folkert worked at Vattenfall Trading for more then fifteen years in various IT related positions.
