All energy tariffs below price ceiling, including fixed 1 and 3-year contracts

Energy tariffs have been falling since last autumn. This favourable price trend continues. Eneco is offering a fixed 3-year contract from 1 June 2023 at a rate of €1.24167 per m3 and €0.33771 per kWh*. Eneco is now offering two different fixed-term contracts (durations of 1 and 3 years) with prices below the price ceiling. Variable tariffs are also falling further. These have been set at €1.27635 per m3 and €0.33820 per kWh for customers receiving a new tariff in July.

For customers looking for certainty about their energy tariffs, more options will be available again from 1 June. They can take out a one-year contract for the coming winter. Or they can fix the rate for a period of three years.

When signing a fixed contract after 1 June 2023, the new termination policy of regulator Authority for Consumers and Markets will apply. Under the new rules, the cancellation penalty is determined based on the remaining expected consumption for the remaining term of the contract and the difference in tariff between the existing contract and a current tariff for a similar contract valid at the time of cancellation.

Variable contracts
Customers can, of course, also keep the flexibility of the variable contract, which allows for cancellation at any time. In this case, the tariff will move more in line with market trends, with falling prices for the time being. Customers who receive a new variable tariff in the month of July will once again pay less for their energy.

The variable tariff for July will apply to about a third of customers with variable contracts. Customers with this tariff will be informed 30 days before the date the new tariff takes effect.
