Yusuke Takeuchi joins Eneco's Management Board

The Supervisory Board of N.V. Eneco has appointed Mr Yusuke Takeuchi (1975) as Chief Cooperation & International Officer (CCIO) and Member of the Management Board of Eneco, as of 1 May 2026.  He succeeds Mr Yasuyuki Asakura, CCIO since March 2024, who will take on a new role as Executive Advisor.

Mr Takeuchi joins Eneco from Mitsubishi Corporation, where he was Chief Operating officer of the  e-mobility Solution Division. Before that he was General Manager of the Battery Solution Development Department.

He joined Mitsubishi Corporation in 1998 and has fulfilled many roles within the company. He has gained substantial managerial and executive experience, amongst others in corporate strategy, international development of Mitsubishi’s power business in different parts of the world, and Chief Operating Officer of Mitsubishi’s London-based subsidiary Diamond Generating Europe.

Mr Takeuchi was educated at the Faculty of Human Development at Kobe University.

The CCIO is responsible for the strategic interaction between Eneco, Mitsubishi Corporation and Chubu Electric Power, the second shareholder of Eneco. He also stimulates the roll-out of Eneco’s business into international markets, with a particular focus on the extra-large project development such as green hydrogen.

Mr Asakura will continue to work for Eneco as Executive Advisor. In this role he will support Eneco during the execution phase of 2026-2030 strategy by contributing senior expertise to portfolio development and strategic investment activities. He will also provide continuity during the CCIO leadership transition and ensuring momentum in key strategic growth initiatives.

Since 2020, the shares in N.V. Eneco are owned by Mitsubishi Corporation (80%) and Chubu Electric Power (20%).
