Martijn Hagens appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Eneco effective 1 March 2026

Eneco’s Supervisory Board today announced that Martijn Hagens will become the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Eneco effective 1 March 2026. Kees Jan Rameau will continue as interim CEO until that date.

Mel Kroon, Chair of Eneco’s Supervisory Board, comments: “We are excited to appoint a very competent new CEO in Martijn Hagens. Martijn Hagens currently serves as Senior Vice-President and Head of Business Area Markets of Vattenfall, with membership of the company’s Executive Group Management. Besides his responsibilities within Vattenfall’s functional line organisation, Martijn is also the CEO of Vattenfall NV (the Dutch country organisation). He previously held various leadership positions at Vattenfall and NUON.

Martijn Hagens has a degree in Industrial Engineering and Management Science from Eindhoven University of Technology.
