Jeroen Schellekens appointed Eneco’s Chief Technology Officer

Jeroen Schellekens (49) has been appointed as Eneco’s Chief Technology Officer starting 1 September 2026. In this role, he will be responsible for all digital, data, AI & cyber technologies developed and implemented by Eneco.

Until recently Jeroen was Chief Information Officer (CIO) at ENOWA in Saudi Arabia. During his time there, he set up the sustainable energy and water company’s entire Digital, Data & Cyber value chain. Before that (2011-2020) he worked for Dutch energy company Essent as Head of IT/Programme Manager, where he oversaw multiple digital & data transformations. His career began as IT Manager (later Senior IT Manager) at pharmaceutical company AMGEN (2001-2011).

Jeroen Schellekens has a Bachelor’s degree in Business IT & Management and a post-Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Avans University of Applied Sciences in Breda.
