Jeanine Tijhaar will leave as CFO of Eneco per August 2024

The Supervisory Board of NV Eneco and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jeanine Tijhaar hereby jointly announce that Jeanine has decided to leave Eneco per August 2024. The selection process for a new CFO has already been initiated by the Supervisory Board.

Having been with the company for 7 years, in the role of CFO since February 2021, Jeanine’s ambition is to take a next step in her career outside Eneco. The Supervisory Board respects Jeanine’s decision to step down and regrets her departure. The Supervisory Board expresses great appreciation for the important role that Jeanine has played in Eneco’s progress with its One Planet Plan, in combination with the growth in financial results.  Her caring leadership will be missed.

Jeanine’s departure will take place at a natural moment. In July, the finalization of the annual statements is anticipated and this will also mark the end of a 4 year financial cycle since the acquisition of Eneco by Mitsubishi Corporation and Chubu Electric.

Jeanine Tijhaar: “It was a difficult decision to say goodbye to Eneco’s people and its worthy mission. Eneco is now a different company with CO2 emissions almost halved since 2019 in combination with financial results that have much improved. I am proud of the resilience of my team; how they managed through the energy crisis and delivered a significant change agenda at the same time. Eneco, as digital integrated energy player, is now very well prepared for the future. I have very much enjoyed working with the entire team of Eneco and I am grateful for the time we have spent together”.

Jeanine Tijhaar (1972) was appointed as a member of the Management Board of NV Eneco in the capacity of Chief Financial Officer on 1st  February 2021. Prior, she was CFO of the Netherlands and Director Finance & Risk within Eneco. She played a key role in the sale of the company to Mitsubishi Corporation and Chubu Electric.
