Eneco invests 3.2 million EUR in German B2B installer platform Installion

The venturing department of Eneco invests 3.2 million Euro in German installer platform Installion. In 2019, this promising start-up entered the market with a “Uber-style” digital matchmaking platform (an app) for B2B clients looking for the installation of solar PV, electricity storage, or e-mobility charging services. Installers are matched with business clients with just one click. Since 2020, Installion also commenced to set up installation hubs, to provide a tightly knit, reliable network of installation capacity, all over Germany. Eneco’s German daughter company Lichtblick is one of the users of the Installion’s services.

The investment fits well with the continuing development of Eneco’s ventures portfolio. Installion offers promising services that help to accelerate the energy transition, which makes a good fit with Eneco’s One Planet plan, aiming to become carbon-neutral by 2035.
