Eneco Group increases its Dutch wind energy capacity by 15% through an exclusive PPA partnership with YARD ENERGY

Today, Eneco Group signed an exclusive PPA partnership agreement with YARD ENERGY, a Netherlands based developer of wind energy projects. According to the agreement Eneco will purchase 100% of the green electricity generated by 6 newly developed Dutch wind farms of the YARD ENERGY development portfolio for a period of 16 years. The wind farms will have a total capacity of more than 200 MW and are expected to become operational in 2019, 2020 and 2021 respectively.

With this partnership Eneco increases its wind generated capacity in the Netherlands by 15% to a total of over 1,500 MW. This agreement covers 48 wind turbines that are expected to generate more thanover 700 GWh of green electricity per year, enough to supply around 233,000 households.
