As Tempelman will leave as CEO of Eneco per 1 August 2025
The Supervisory Board of NV Eneco and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) As Tempelman hereby jointly announce that As Tempelman has decided to leave Eneco. He will join Signify in September as their new CEO. The selection process for a new CEO has already been initiated by the Supervisory Board. Until the appointment of a new CEO, current Chief Operating Officer Integrated Energy (COO-IE) Kees Jan Rameau, will act as interim CEO of Eneco from July 4th.
“With mixed emotions, I have decided to take on a new professional challenge”, said As Tempelman. “I want to express my sincere gratitude to all my colleagues and friends at Eneco, together we have made a meaningful impact, accelerating the energy transition and building an even stronger Eneco. Signify is the world leader in lighting and a true pioneer with more than 130 years of history. I am excited about leading the company forward.”
The Supervisory Board of Eneco would like to express its sincere gratitude to As Templeman. Mel Kroon, Chair of the Supervisory Board, says: “We have great appreciation for the major contribution of As to the success of Eneco. Under his inspiring leadership, both the financial and sustainability goals have been amply achieved. The launch and successful implementation of the OnePlanetPlan is possibly his greatest achievement for our company. We will miss his vision, energy and entrepreneurship enormously and wish him all the best in his new role.”
As Tempelman was appointed as a member of the Management Board of NV Eneco in the capacity of CEO on 20 July 2020. Prior to Eneco, As Tempelman held senior leadership positions at Shell in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
